With over three decades of leadership experience, Tena previously served as the Assistant Executive Director of a thriving Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living Community in Hickory Flat before returning to Ellijay. Her background is deeply rooted in both operations and people management, allowing her to successfully guide their community to exceed occupancy goals while maintaining exceptional resident satisfaction and financial performance.
She began her career in Human Resources, dedicating over 30 years to managing and developing talent with a strong focus on compliance, engagement, and organizational culture. This experience laid the foundation for her transition into senior living leadership, where she brings a compassionate yet results-driven approach to community management.
Her expertise also includes business office operations, property management in both private and government-subsidized housing, and a licensed career in real estate. As a current Realtor with an active license, she brings a unique perspective to senior living that blends hospitality, sales strategy, and resident-focused service—critical components in growing and sustaining community success.
